Yeah, but the Dems would have so much LESS TO WORK WITH if he did this. Honey, they don't need anything to work with at all! All they have to do is insist that they are all guilty anyway. Or maybe they'll just forge themselves up some memos. Dan Rather isn't busy right now, is he?

He and the other leaders need to realize that this is a CRIMINAL act- sexual harassment of an underage Congressional Page- and treat it as such. State that they're going to forward whatever they have to authorities, etc...
Under what law? While creepy, sexual harassment (without any physical touching, stalking, assault or threat made) usually isn't a crime.

Most of them save a copy of your conversation to a file on your hard drive. That is not true.

If he and the House leadership do not immediately distance themselves, it'll be guilt-by-association or worse... They did when they told him to get out and resign now
Look .. the dems swing at anything and everything in hopes that something will stick
As far as Foley's concerned .. no one in their right mind will defend his actions .. plus it is my understanding that an investigation is already occurring and he will be dealt with

If the Dems in NJ can play last minute bait and switch, the Republicans in Florida can too, but they have to come up with a sure winner.

It seems that the only thing left is to count on the Democrats to overplay their hand on this.

At least four Republican House Members, one senior GOP aide and a former top officer of the House were aware of the allegations about Foley that prompted the initial reporting regarding his e-mail contacts with a 16-year-old House page. They include: Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Reynolds (N.Y.) and Reps. Rodney Alexander (R-La.) and John Shimkus (R-Ill.), as well as a senior aide to Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and former Clerk of the House Jeff Trandahl. I'm torn. If they only knew about the e-mails, that isn't the end of the universe. The e-mails weren't that bad. But apparently some of them thought the e-mails were bad enough to notify the parents. If they thought they needed to notify the parents, then they should have forced him out.

This is one time I hope they don't disappoint us.

Our discussions ALWAYS are leaps and bounds ahead of any liberal site.
In case you don't know, WE undid Dan Rather; US, the other sites got their info from FR!
Don't you think that all of us here knew what the left was going to do with this, as soon as it broke?
To: Howlin
This one time, they'll probably get their act together.

The reason I think is that a lot of the guys on my side see that as a big sign of hypocrisy right now.You mean "hypocrisy" as in not caring when Barney Frank did it?
Or like saying you're the champion of all the "minority groups, but always playing the race and/or gay card?

How about that other well known gay Floridian, who supported the lowering of the age of consent, Janet Reno? Will she come forward and defend Foley?
