He and the other leaders need to realize that this is a CRIMINAL act- sexual harassment of an underage Congressional Page- and treat it as such. State that they're going to forward whatever they have to authorities, etc... Sexual harassment? Because of the boss/employee thing? Nope, after y'all gave Clinton a pass, that doesn't fly anymore. The boy was a willing participant.
The age of consent is 16 in DC and there seems to have been no physical contact.
Mostly, I'm just giving you a hard time. Foley is obviously in the wrong here. But after Clinton, for a lib to say sexual harassment, pushes my buttons.

IM logs are much more difficult to find on a computer; e-mails are right there in your face, but you have to dig for IM logs. Ok, so who went digging for the logs and why did they start looking?

Oh, Dianna, why'd you have to bring that up NOW, just when I'm going to sleep!

Oh, Dianna, why'd you have to bring that up NOW, just when I'm going to sleep! Because the lib got preachy, that's why! It fired me up all over again!
I'm so exhausted!

Oh, man!!
I'm just catching up after dropping out of the thread at 5:00PM.
I thought it was a DNC operative that sat on the news. Now it seems like the Republican House leadership?

I'm giving you advice from the other side on how to get through this and deal with it. First off, "the other side" didn't deal with it this way, did they? NO!! Lying and denying worked for them, didn't it? You still vote for them, don't you?
What are we saying here? All day and all night we've been saying that anyone who knew has to go. The libs don't have to get all over us. It isn't necessary. We'll fry them ourselves.
To: Dianna
Which, of course, IS the difference between us and them.

Tell me about it. I first asked the who knew when question back in post #321 at 1:00PM yesterday. Now I'm wondering if this will spill over into the Senate, too. Guilt by association.

And I really do mean that they only have a few hours. And what happens in a few hours?

I didn't even know that you can save an IM.

Please read the
Roll Call story. Nancy Pelosi (as usual) is politicizing something that shouldn't be all that political, and the media reports are picking up on her
press release. So far, it has only been reported that the House knew about the creepy (but not sexually explicit) e-mails from Foley to Representative Alexander's page during Hurricane Katrina. They knew nothing about the sexually explicit IMs that were only made public today.
Basically, when Representative Alexander learned about the e-mails, he told the Clerk of the House, who is responsible for managing the Page program. The Clerk told Representative Shimkus, and they began an investigation. They ultimately told Foley to knock it off and stop contacting the page. According to Roll Call, Speaker Hastert himself knew nothing, although a Hastert staffer was told about it.
As previously reported, Congressman Alexander also told Representative Boehner.

I didn't mean to be preachy; it still is immensely more interesting to discuss this with you than to participate in the cesspool of name-calling and back-patting that are the liberal websites right now. It's very late, I am very tired and quite angry that our representatives have let this go on.
I feel like I ought to apologize for my last outburst because it wasn't very nice. But you know, I'm tired of being one of the good guys who do the right thing. It never seems to get me anywhere.
