Platte Canyon High School in Bailey was evacuated early Wednesday afternoon because of a hostage situation with a gunman, Park County emergency dispatchers said.
Dispatchers said there was at least one hostage.
The adjoining middle school was also evacuated.
Jan Howard, a secretary to the superintendent of Park County Schools, said the students were being taken to a safe location and only sheriff's deputies and fire officials were being allowed into the schools.
Authorities said U.S. Highway 285 was closed in Bailey because of the situation.
Jefferson County authorities said deputies, including the SWAT team and bomb squad, from their sheriff's office were on stand-by to assist if called by Park County authorities.
When it says "report abuse", that implies the poster of the post in question gets a "record" of "abuse", of sorts. Theoretically, if the Admin doesn't pay attention, couldn't you go "10 strikes you're out", and get yourself banned?
Other forums allow you to delete your own posts on your own without implying it is "abuse".

He knew he was going to AP English, the time and the location of the class. He found this information somewhere or from someone.
What happened to the report that a school employee (a teacher?) stated she knew the man? Was that report false? I'd like to know how he knew where and when the English AP class took place.
Yes, the press kept spelling it wrong and the sheriff corrected them and read it--spelled it--off specifically as DWAYNE.

You have a point there. I was just trying to paraphrase what the reporters were saying for the office bound freepers.
Since there is no need to protect evidence for trial I hope that everything learned about this evil dog is put out to the public. Sooner rather than later.

Just stated on FNC that "D-wayne" had a list of girl's names. He was wandering around the high school looking for these specific girls.
