Let's play one of our favorite games: WIACHSI, which of course stands for "What If a Conservative Had Said It?"
Ready? OK, let's play. What would happen if a conservative attacked a female liberal icon by calling her promiscuous? How many outraged Dem elected officials, NOW leaders, Naomi Wolfs . . . and Air America hosts would be popping up all over the MSM to proclaim their outrage?
And yet, on today's edition of Tucker Carlson, Air America host and class-action trial lawyer [nice two-fer!] Mike Papantonio leveled the loose woman charge at none other than Ann Coulter.
The subject was a new book, "I Hate Ann Coulter", written by four authors who have chosen to remain anonymous out of their supposed fear of "gun-toting abortion-clinic bombing, self-proclaimed wing nuts who follow Coulter."
Asked to comment on the authors preference for anonymity, Papantonio, instead uttered this slanderous non sequitur:
"To really understand Ann Coulter you have to focus on the fact that this is a woman who has never had a relationship with another person that has lasted longer than the gestation period of a fruit fly."
Carlson cut him off: "I will not have that. Going into people's personal lives is out of bounds. We're not going to talk about people's personal lives unless they're doing it in public."
Papantonio then claimed that Coulter "has invited this discussion," but Carlson made it clear he would brook no further discussion of Ann's private life, and that put an end to matters. Let's remember this one the next time an MSMer accuses conservatives of being hate-filled, sex-obsessed, puritanical or misogynistic.
Wow .......... very good!
LOL
I love Ann's writing and her spirit, but every time I see her I can't help but see Leslie Nielsen when he was around 35 years old.
That's pretty nice.
If so, then try reconstructing that sentence so that the preposition is not at the end.
;-)
Yes, I saw her say it on Vanity and Colmes. She smugly and childishly speculated to the camera and America, "How do we know that their husbands weren't going to divorce them before 9/11?"
It was the lowest of comments.
It was below her.
I love her writing, I have three of her books, but sometimes she just can't control herself.
That's BS. We've been engagaed for years.
Only a lawyer would be jealous of a fruit fly in MS Coulter's home, office, etc.
Lawyers - lower than fruit flies.
This little weasel is just upset because Ann wouldn't spit on him.
Today "Pap" is certainly Southern and a lawyer, but he is hardly small-town. One of the most prominent trial attorneys in the country, he is renowned as the lead counsel in virtually every major product liability case against the pharmaceutical, industrial products, insurance and stock broking industries. Since 1983, he has headed the mass tort department of Levin, Papantonio in Pensacola, Florida and has won numerous million-dollar jury verdicts for plaintiffs. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Leading American Attorney. Mike Papantonio's law firm has consistently been listed as one of America's 15 most successful plaintiff's firms.
Well, that would depend on whether Al Franken has stared hating Democrats, supporting small government, tax cuts, free trade, etc. and gotten much better looking. Last time I checked, no on all counts, so I can assure you this is not Al Franken.
Actually, I live in New Jersey, I used to live in Minnesota. My guess is you have a problem with Jersey too. Which of the 50 states do YOU live in? I'm willing to bet it's in the South.
OK, you got me on that one...or should I say, that's the one you got me on.
You do realize that Coulter is a lawyer too...perhaps that's part of why I can't stand her.
And I thought flagellants were a Middle Ages phenomenon...
I'm willing to bet it's in the South.
They teach stereotyping well in the Blue states, don't they? ;-)
It was meant to be a joke, sir. See, as you know, I am sure,Al Franken is originally from Minnesota, and in some contexts could charitably be almost called Libertarian, at least to the degree that someone from SNL might be. And I don't believe that Al Franken is all bad, either, but I wish he would've stayed out of politics as a pundit. The Left needs all the showbiz pundits they can get apparently, with him and Bill Maher, etc. More than anything, though, Al is basically Ann's counterpart on the Left, at least as the Left would like to fantasize about it.And it was then appropriate that he would be badmouthing his "competition". And BTW, I don't think Ann is all good either. But I actually from New Jersey, Bergen County....I don't know about the next guy on this thread, who badmouthed Minnesota.....geez, lots of badmouthing.....
