I hope Bush's and Republicans poll numbers keep rising, gasoline prices keep falling and Republicans retain control of Congress by a decent margin.

Dems have nothing to offer, except obstruction of good plans in the War on Terror, social security reform, taxes...

The futures markets have "Republicans hold House" at 55%.

Those are polls with real money stakes.

If the Republicans would have been up all summer in the polls and suddenly things were even, the MSM would say the electorate is now paying attention. Instead, Karl Rove and the Republicans are now selling fear!

The article misses the big story of the election.

This has turned into an incumbent's year, which is a huge change from the predictions of a few months ago.

This is good news for career politicians, and bad news for people (on any side) who want change.

A permanent, rock-solid truth:

Good news for America is bad news for Democrats.

For Regular gas, I paid $2.21 a gallon at the Pilot Truck Stop in Nitro, WV...

Somewhere, a liberal is mad about that. I saw a lot of people with Kerry stickers on the backs of their cars filling up there anyhow.

Of course the DUmmies think the falling gas prices are a Rovian "October Surprise" type plot, since none of them seem to understand (or appreciate) basic capitalist market forces.

CNN sees a plot to keep the GOP in power.

Just a few hours ago I saw a segment where they were discussing the "conspiracy theory" that Bush was manipulating gas prices. They went pro and con, and had a spokeswoman for the oil industry who consistently dismissed the whole idea as absurd. They finished with her apparently getting the last word, then the NewsBabe goes, "Is this true? We have with us the author of JACKED : How conservatives are picking your pocket ..."

Outside of the war on terror, the GOP really has done nothing to earn reelection. Fortunately for them, the democrats do not deserve to win because of their actions in the war on terror.

But what I am really looking forward to is reading the DUmmies if the GOP maintains control. It will be glorious!
