Lots of people use heating oil in the North East.
We used to live in the boonies and used a similar system of propane.

Heating oil is similar to Diesel fuel.
Kerosene is closer to jet fuel.

What's up with Thailand? There is very little doubt the coup will stick. The King gave his tacit very quiet approval of the coup. News on the Thai stations in Thailand and broadcast here only mention coup orders and directives and nothing else. But the countryside is quiet. Thais have an attitude they call "mai pehn drei khap" which sort of means, "Never Mind"..but my wife's family and no doubt a lot of her rural neighbours are reputed to say that when elections are held a year from now (that's the latest plan) that they will vote for Thaksin unless he's forbidden to enter the country. Thaksin himself is in London visiting his daughter in school there. His wife was in Singapore perhaps headed his direction. Pretty quiet...No bloodshed. It's the 18th coup since 1932 which is more times the government has transitioned via coup than it has via elections.

We used to use it as well, but sheesh....that was at least 30 years ago! Can't complain about energy if you are using 1800's technology. Get with this century people!

Rangel and Schumer are upset and I suspect nervous, not for Chavez talking as he did on our soil, for after all they agree, but, because it exposes what clinton and other dems have said and apologized for, while off our soil.
Or as we say here ..... off Island!!
I think I get it, by golly!!!

Clint, diesel and fuel oil are the same. The are rated as #2 oil. Kerosene is #1 heating oil. You are right, it is used as a jet fuel.
Both will burn in oil furnaces with minor mods.

Heating oil is similar to Diesel fuel. Yup, in fact no.2 heating oil is diesel fuel and has 139,000 btu's per gal.
