He can drag race on the beltway. /s
I agree, he (Alec) needs to take some life lessons from his younger brother.
Dennis will be a nice addition to H&C when he appears.
Gotta run for now...nice being with you all today...I'll be lurking as usual in the days ahead.
Tammy or Steve would be great also.
Between his McGreevy Springer type segment yesterday and his "super top secret" deal that leaked five days early, wouldn't have if he'd of done it on time today, he's been coming off really nerdy the past week.
I don't think it has to do with his ratings does it? It looks like it's a big program from GM that they started and they approached him.
LOL!
Bush's Statement:
I want to thank the members of the United States Senate for working with my administration to meet our top legislative priority, and that is a law that will help us crack the terror network and to save American lives.
I had a single test for the pending legislation, and that's this: Would the CIA operators tell me whether they could go forward with the program, that is a program to question detainees to be able to get information to protect the American people. I'm pleased to say that this agreement preserves the most single most potent tool we have in protecting America and foiling terrorist attacks, and that is the CIA program to question the world's most dangerous terrorists and to get their secrets.
The measure also creates military commissions that will bring these ruthless killers to justice. In short, the agreement clears the way to do what the American people expect us to do, to capture terrorists, to detain terrorists, to question terrorists, and then to try them. I hope the Congress will send me legislation before it wraps up their business next week.
Thank you.
Nice talking to you too! Talk to you later.
what's the super top secret deal?
I just had a wonderful vision.....Dennis Miller as the White House Press Secretary How neat would THAT be! ;-)
Rather have Tony
Yeah really. And it sounds so good too huh? McCain got smacked down hard like the biatch he is. :) Almost like Bush said, oh okay Senator McCain, you think you're President? Okay. Come here I have something to show you..." **WHAM WHAM WHAM**. "Now then, this is my plan." :) Heheheheh. I know that's a bit much but it's fun thinking about it. :)

What a voice he is so soothing!
That goes without saying...I meant the NEXT one ;-) I would purely love to see Dennis do a David Gregory smack-down--to say nothing of Dennis Miller and Helen Thomas LOL!!!!!!!
jinx
Really.
I made him do a series of apology and thank you letters to all the people who he (however inadvertantly) caused trouble, and all those who worked to make sure he didn't get hurt and didn't hurt anyone else.
Also, a lot of house work was involved as well as reading assignments.
One of the letters was to the judge before the hearing.
Lucky for him, he is an excellent writter and said all the right things. He ended up getting off very lightly but the snot got scared out of him.
To his credit, the experience left an impression on him.
