RANGEL: AN ATTACK ON BUSH IS AN ATTACK ON ALL AMERICANS... 'You do not come into my country, my congressional district, and you do not condemn my president. If there is any criticism of President Bush, it should be restricted to Americans, whether they voted for him or not. I just want to make it abundantly clear to Hugo Chavez or any other president, but do not come to the United States and think because we have problems with our president that any foreigner can come to our country and not think that Americans do not feel offended when you offend our Chief of State'...
Chavez just ripping on the US military for Fallujah. His audience cheering.
Not sure but you can bet that the reason has nothing to do with defending Bush or worrying about offending Americans.
Again, partisanship is KILLING this country. You have depraved Democrats and corrupt Republicans running things. If the other side acts less depraved, I will congratulate them. Not gonna vote for them, but Rangel did the right thing. And no, I don't think his motivation was pure.
The things you hear,
in an election year.
Amazing
"Where are the republicans? Why have they not issued any sort of statement?"
That's what I was thinking. Are our guys hiding their heads up their butts, as usual?
[inset spitting sound here]
"Lets give Rangel credit for having balls.
I can't stand the guy, but he did the right thing.
Cheers to Charlie Rangel for acting like an American!!!!"
NEVER!...Rangel is the rats point man...did you hear this, there was no emotion in his little statement.....Rangel, don't bad-mouth the Prez, let me do it...............turn on Rush.

The Dem. party sent him out to look reasonable, because his seat is safe. Nothing more.
The President and his administration rise above this type of behavior, as usual.
It's fun to note that the Vice President of Venezuela is Jose Vicente RANGEL Vale. |
They're punks ...... or their polling isn't done yet.
;-)
They have never responded to such stupidity. They tend to remain looking down into the gutter, but not playing there.
True.
I condemn Rangel's positions on just about everything (not only disagre - condemn) but on this he is right and I will give credit where credit is due. After all, if that shovel-faced thug had done the same to Clinton - hell, I'd be angry even though it would be about Ted Kennedy.
Slavers, murderers, and thugs like Chavez have no right to criticise our fellow Americans on our soil.
Glad that for whatever reason, Rangel agrees.
He's a DemocRat, therefore you are correct.
You know, as much as I hated Clinton (and he was a rat bastard), when he was the President, I would have defended him in a similar situation. The President of the US is elected by the people of this great country and that stands for something in my book. Amongst many things, a President is a symbol of freedom, hope, and liberty to many people in the world....even President Clinton.
So, I hope they run Chavez out on a rail along with that Dictating thug from Iran. Freedom can coexist with religions such as Islam. However, tyranny can not coexist with freedom. The sooner we all figure this out, the safer we will all be.
"though it would be" = "if it were to be"
I really wish we could edit.
Im furious the leader of this country and my party didnt come out knocking heads.
