Iran’s president says Bush pushing for war-(MSM and Tom, meeting of the minds)

President Bush’s policies in the Middle East are “moving the world toward war,” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday, maintaining that Iran was a peaceful nation that merely wanted to be left alone to “stand on its [own] feet.”

“The U.S. government thinks that it’s still the period after World War II,” Ahmadinejad said in an interview with Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor of “NBC Nightly News,” a mindset that led Bush to believe that he “can rule, therefore, over the rest of the world.”

But “the world has changed,” he said. “Nations are awakened now. They want their rights — equal rights, and fair ones. The time for world empires has ended.”

Peaceful nations do not call for the annihilation of other nations.

Why didn't he eat lunch with Bush? Was it because it would be dining with an enemy?

The Iranian president had just finished giving his speech to the UN and had walked out into the lobby where he met President Bush.

They shook hands, and as they walked the Iranian said, "You know,
I have just one question about what I have seen in America."

President Bush said, "Well, anything I can do to help you, I will."

The Iranian whispered, "My son watches this show 'Star Trek' and
in it there is Chekhov who is Russian, Scotty who is Scottish, and
Sulu who is Chinese, but no Arabs. My son is very upset and doesn't
understand why there aren't any Iranians on Star Trek."

President Bush laughed, leaned toward the Iranian President,
and whispered back, "There are no Iranians because it takes place in the future."

“The U.S. government thinks that it’s still the period after World War II,” Ahmadinejad said...

Well...it is, isn't it? Did we go back in time and I missed it?

But “the world has changed,” he said. “Nations are awakened now. They want their rights — equal rights, and fair ones. The time for world empires has ended.”

Yea, and the minute the U.S. caves to that kind of thinking we'll have worldwide chaos because these third world "bastions of independence" still don't know how to act civilized. That's the central problem. It doesn't take a Ph.D. in geopolitics to realize that Iran with nuclear weapons is just a prelude to nuclear chaos in the middle east.

No, I'm afraid we really have no choice and that conclusion was forced on us by the pathetic state of third world 'leadership'. A world government, that is, the U.S. government, is what is emerging and what this man despises. We, the civilized world, are in the awkward position of having to snatch up these little savages and kick them swiftly in the crotch to keep world peace.

Israel, the U.S. and G.B. and a short list of lesser nations now stand alone as the last remaining islands of civilization. The rest has gone to seed.

Not PC? There's only one alternative; a world of petty, barbaric dictators all threatening each other and the civilized world - and attacking the same - with nuclear weapons. I don't think so.
