Syria's grand mufti Sheik Ahmed Badr al-Deen Hassoun meets with Vatican ambassador Cardinal Giovanni Battista Morandini Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 in Damascus. More than 200 Muslims staged a sit-in Monday at the Sayydah Zeinah Shrine in Damascus to protest Pope Benedict XVI's remarks that sparked Muslim anger around the world. (AP Photo/Bassem Tellawi)

"Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything the Prophet Mohammad brought was evil "such as is command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
The person who made the statement should make the apology for it. Oh, he's not around? Well, I guess the muzzies are SOL.

Workers at Turkey's Directorate General for Religious Affairs, or Diyanet, petitioned for the arrest of the Pontiff when he makes a scheduled visit to Turkey in November. They held banners saying "Either apologize or don't come." My advice to the Pope: Don't go. Turkey is 99+% Islamic, and far more of its residents are radicalized than is commonly thought.

Cardinal George Pell said this showed "the link for many Islamists between religion and violence, their refusal to respond to criticism with rational arguments, but only with demonstrations, threats and actual violence." Local Muslims called Pell's comments "unhelpful."
This is absolutely Monty Python's material. How ridiculous is this? Don't say I'm violent or I'll kill you!
Reading about their crazy behavior is becoming a joke.
