In this week's New Yorker, David Remnick turns in an excellent and truly must-read behind-the-scenes look at Clinton's post-presidential life and travels.
For those interested in all things Clinton, it has Bill Clinton on the record saying things he normally won't say on those terms ("I am sick of Karl Rove's bullshit." and attacking the Washington Post's Sue Schmidt), and talking about presidential politics, including saying John Edwards ran too soon.

You are absolutely right ... the world is a tinderbox, and Bubba, PeanutBrain, the MSM and the diabolical RATS are more than happy to supply matches. It's very fearsome. I'm praying a lot, because I know under it all, He is in charge.
He is, in spite of appearances, a quintessential LOSER.
The President, on the other hand, is in the hands of Almighty God, and a VICTOR.
I'm not worried. "Be not afraid."
Thank you ohio....I need to be reminded of that more often than I like to admit.
President Bush is looking quite "in charge" lately..(not that he didn't, but more regally so).
I am SO grateful that he slammed McCain and gang down, and stepped on them to announce the "compromise"...but, he does it in such a "classy" way, don't you think? LOL
And I love that he's a good winner. The 'compromise' went his way..........you could see it in his face and hear it in his voice............but he was his usual gracious self in victory.
This xlinton-slug-impotent-nobody is not to be feared.
If he had any power at all, he wouldn't be out there saying foul things about Karl Rove, now would he? :)
Clinton refuses to go back to being a private citizen, period. No George Washington he. But we already knew that.
"Ruby Ridge happened on Bush Sr. watch?" I don't think so.
Karl Rove you magnificent bastard! LOL
That ought to be your tagline!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To some degree, he observes the traditional discretion that ex-Presidents are supposed to have about sitting Presidents. On the other hand, he really doesnt.
In other words, his attacks on the Bush Administration are not as full-throated or as far left on the scale as Al Gores. But hes pretty clear about how he feels about tax cuts for the rich, foreign policy, and the rest.
Hes not hesitant to criticize Bush, but he doesnt insult Bush. He doesnt indulge himself by comparing his own formidable intelligence to President Bushs more modest gifts in that department. Hes very careful around that kind of hot button.
I hope this cretin never draws a peaceful or contented breath for as long God allows him to live.
The Arkansas Grifters : like syphillis, the gift that keeps on giving.Cannot shut up, can he?
YIKES!
Brilliant analysis and you should be heartily congratulated on your clear thinking. I, for one, am giving you a standing ovation and a BRAVO/BRAVA.
That was written by the writers at ABC the Note???
Probably by that idiot Mark Halperin...he HATES Bush.
That tinfoil hat has cut off the blood supply to your brain.
Please put me on that ping list. :-)
Yes it did.
August,1992,while GPB was still President.
On August 21, 1992, several US Marshals were sent to prepare for the raid on the Weaver cabin.
Think I just might change it.
