Oh goody, another teacher bashing session here on FR.
There are some good ones out there, I have four in my family. YOU try doing what they do for 40 grand a year.
I taught for 24 years on the university level as a "temporary" faculty member for about that. What's so awful?
I bash the crackpot stuff. I sat through one year of grade school in a split class, and I can't say it was bad, but a single grade per teacher is better. To pretend it's better and then purposely split classes is beyond stupid. Anyone who tells me I'm not enlightened enough to see the inherent advantage in the scheme is going to get Hans Christian Anderson's "The Emperors New Suit " jammed down their throat.
>>YOU try doing what they do for 40 grand a year.<<
I do it for a hug and a kiss.
However, there are some good teachers who are smacked down by their administrators. It's a pity.
And then again my sister is a whiny/ex-Cleveland teacher/flaming lib/with Munchausen Syndrome. They hired and paid her. At 60,000 a year until she went onto disability.
And also one must divide that 40,000 by only 9 months. You do the math, I teach it all day.
