NO. What they are describing sounds like the Valsalva maneuver, which is supposed to "reset" the rhythm of your heart in certain situations- but NOT in a heart attack.

What I suggest is the "911" maneuver, which involves picking up the phone and calling EMS. You can't go wrong with that one.

No. Think about it. If you were feeling that kind of pain, how would you be able to assert that kind of pressure in a cough!
