A brief story regards BDU's Many years ago back when Richards-Gebauer did the airshow gig I bought all of the kids Marine Corps utility covers. Mrs alfa6 was sort of peturbed with me cause it was money that we really did not have to throw around.

After the show she decided that I was pretty smart after all as she was able to pick out the kids without any problem because of the hats. Lucky dude I is :-)

BTW, the Marine recruiters thought highly of my kids as well, we were finding those gold foil USMC emblems around the house for years!!!

Strange you should mention stingrays. We went swimming with the Manta rays off the Kona Airport last night. Here's a link to the event on one of the Hawaii touring sights, as well as a picture of what brushed my belly during the feeding. Manta rays are very gentle, and have no barb. This was simply the most awesome other-worldly thing I have ever done, and highly recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid of the water.

I have been lucky enough to see the Tora, Tora, Tora display as well as some of the A-10 displays at the old Richards-Gebauer airshows in Kansas City in years past. It's pretty amazing what a few quarts or gallons of diesel fuel and some blasting caps can do.
