Ulcers are hopefully growing in the collective stomachs of ABC executives as they learn just how out of touch and irresponsible Rosie ODonnell is. Now, as a member of Barbara Walters chat show The View, ODonnell has a new forum to spew her left wing rants, and hopefully viewers will send her back to the unemployment line. In a discussion of the events of September 11, 2001, ODonnell acknowledged that Islamic terrorists killed close to 3,000 innocent people. She then said that radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam.
Addressing the 9-11 anniversary and talking about security, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck noted that since the attacks of 2001, America has not been attacked at home. We have not been attacked, she said. We are on the offense here.
ODonnell, in her infinite wisdom, then interrupted and said that America was attacked not by a nation and as a result of Islamic terrorists killing 3,000 innocent Americans, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people in their countries.
First, I guess Rosie forgets the fact that Afghanistan, with its Taliban leadership, was the training ground for al Qaeda the group directly responsible for killing thousands of Americans. That the Taliban sponsored, housed, and protected al Qaeda fighters and leaders. President Bush told the Taliban to turnover al Qaeda leaders or face the consequences. They refused and America took action against our attackers.
Second, America, in response to the attacks, focused its attacks on the Taliban and al Qaeda. Civilian causalties are tragic during the course of war, but, unfortunately, they occur. The point is that we did not target innocent civilians for butchering. This is exactly what radical Islamists having been doing with their attacks.
Hasselbeck noted that the funding of radical islam is widespread. ODonnell again interrupted and said, Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America.
ODonnell then added that Iraq and Afghanistan never threatened to kill us. What?!?!? Earth to ODonnell! The purpose of al Qaeda, a group interwoven into the ruling Taliban, is the destruction of the American way of life. In Iraq, on numerous occasions, Saddam Hussein threatened America.
ODonnell is just plain wrong. In addition to being wrong, her comment on Christianity is scary. At the same time those on the left are telling people to understand the views of the terrorists, we see more instances where they are bashing Christianity with impunity. We cant say anything bad about people who want to kill us we cant profile we cant do what it takes to protect ourselves but we sure can bash Christians. What is wrong with this picture?
It is my hope that ABC will learn that things will not change with ODonnell. If they want to keep main-stream American viewers, ODonnell needs to go. Im sure she can find a good spot on Air America where no one is listening.

What about radical pumpkin-headed egotistical FREAKS whose ignorance is matched only by their arrogance?
What's even worse is that the audience heartily applauded that statement.
I guess Rosie or the rest of them. . .have yet to consider 'radical-Fundamental Leftism. . .and the threat it poses.
I nominate her for pinata.
Huh, who would have thought? Radical Christianity? You mean like adhering resolutely, unequivically, and steadfastly to the first and second commandment with no alternative??
First Commandment: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
Second Commandment: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Yeah, dude, that IS radical!!
What an idiot.
The article says -- "In a discussion of the events of September 11, 2001, ODonnell acknowledged that Islamic terrorists killed close to 3,000 innocent people. She then said that radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam."
I said this earlier, on another thread --
Sounds like sour grapes over the fact that both religious beliefs frown on homosexuality
Let me point out....
A. It was an audience of a day time talk show?
B. What do we care about viewers of day time talk shows?
C. What do we care about people that would take their time to be an Audience of a day time talk show?
D. It was an audience at a womens day time talk show
E. All this adds up to an audience ( Live and at home) with a lower IQ than an canned ham.
Since the Freepers were so successful in their boycotts of the Ditsy Chicks (as mentioned in a previous thread); why not boycott the View...Of course, that would have to mean that we watched it before...
She'll soon be taking her poison over to radio when she joins two other geniuses, Hanoi and Steimen, for a talk radio show. It'll no doubt be praised as "edgy" and "provocative," right before it turns into outright whoring for the DNC leading up to the November elections. One more failure for the great white lesbian whale.
You said -- "What's even worse is that the audience heartily applauded that statement."
And what's even more worse, is to see that very same thing on FreeRepublic.

Star Traveler
Christianity is in fact a definite threat to those like
O'Donnell.
Abortion has killed 45m babies in the US alone. Who knows how many overseas.
If some religious war has killed that many, I've never heard of it.
