Rummy's speech was pretty emotional today. But many forget that he was one of the first to run to help the injured on 9/11.
What a fine man he is!

Indeed the language and prose of it were wonderful and joy to listen to.

Thanks, Buddy :) It's my 20th toaster!
(I saw your pings on the other thread--thank you for that too :)
To: snugs
this is why she can no longer speak in public.Oh that's right ...
If this was any other day, I would choose one of her photos for the toaster.
To: prairiebreeze
Yes I thought that about the VP portrayal as well even though I was only watching it with one as I was preparing the dose.

Boy, whoever made this movie must like Clarke a lot....he came out looking pretty good.....as opposed to Tenet

I have never seen so many photos LOL--it's okay. Take your time.

"whoever made this movie must like Clarke a lot"
I'll remember that when I watch it again sometime. I missed the first hour of the first part and missed some parts tonite. I never quite got all the players figured out except for John O'Neil and Sandy Berger.

snugs, thanks for posting the many pictures of each of the President's visits today. He is truly a good and caring man and it is very evident when he's with 'everyday folks'. God bless this man.
To: kitkat
I am glad you said that because it confirmed what I thought as well that he was watching out for Rummy and just checking he was OK.
Also the VP's eyes show concern for his friend and at one time mentor.
It has been a day for the VP to watch out for people earlier on keeping an eye out for Baroness Thatcher.

Great job, Snugs! Much appreciated.

I was thinking that very same thing as I was preparing the dose. Don Rumsfeld had first hand experience of the awuful events of 9/11 and I believed had to be told to stop helping others.

What a wonderful surprise to see Prime Minister Thatcher walk out with VP and Lynne Cheney. It was an honor to have Mrs. Thatcher at the memorial ceremonies in Washington.

When I got pinged she was in Washington at the invite of the VP and was going to attend an event a the State Department little did I expect her to come out on the White House lawn for that special ceremony.
I feel honoured that the former leader of my party and PM was included in what is an special American remembrance ceremony.

'never seen so many photos of such emotional events...'
Eleanor, you did a great job. Thanks! When VP Cheney spoke at the Pentagon ceremony this morning, it seemed like his voice cracked ..for just a moment...from emotion. He's always seems to contain his emotions, so it was a bit surprising and touching.
Sec. Rumsfeld gave a wonderful talk at that same ceremony. America is blessed to have these wonderful men in our government.
