U.S. liberals take aim at Bush at Toronto International Film Festival

Celebrated comedian and actor Billy Crystal, in introducing Clinton to an audience of Toronto's economic and political elite, recalled that when the two-term president first took office in 1993, "Liar, Liar" was a film starring Jim Carrey.

"Liar, Liar flies on Air Force One now - talk about snakes on a plane," Crystal said before adding, "The Republicans, I can't even say their name - I gag."

While Saturday night's party, also attended by Clinton's wife Hillary and their daughter Chelsea, amounted to a thinly veiled fundraiser, it was also prime time for Bush bashing.

"They're making up stuff," Crystal said of the TV movie "The Path to 9-11," which has been criticized by Democrats for portraying Clinton as failing to capture and kill al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Still trying to run this down and get clear- I know they were at the film festival- but did they actually GO to see the movie about Bush's assassination?
