I knew about the chocolate and raisins but not the onions. We had another cockapoo and I had made a meat loaf for lunch. I had to go pick up Jan and when I got home, our other daughter said we would not be having any meat loaf. It seems that the dog jumped on a chair and got the meat loaf--ate most of it before anyone noticed. I think our daughter has told me about some other food items that we should keep the dog away from. Oh! Mentioning chocolate. For Easter one year our granddaughter got one of those orange chocolate things. Their dog got that or what was left of it and ate the rest of it. They called the vet and he just said to keep an eye on her. Believe me, if a dog knows they are not to have something, then they will do anything to get to it. Just like the 3 pairs of prescription glasses this same dog of mine got hold of. I have started keeping my purse on top of a black cabinet. She has not figured out a way to get to it there. I am just waiting til she does. Our daughter says the dog is too smart for her own good.

I have a son who did the same type of damage to the middle of his dad's birthday cake one year. I'd set it on the counter to cool before I frosted it, and when I came back, the whole middle of the cake was gone. I mean, it was TRASHED by the two-fisted cake glutton! I called my preschool son into the kitchen and asked "if he knew anything about that."

I salvaged a few very small pieces from the edges to frost before we went to pick up his father at the airport. His dad got a good laugh out of it.

Bubba demolished my prescription glasses also.

I got two pair to replace them; one for me and one for him.

But he never got them again. I think he knew I was ticked.

Bubba is very tall and could counter surf with ease and get anything. Fortunately, he's never developed that habit.
