Forcing anything , be it a bible or a roll of toilet paper, on those who do not want to receive it, fundamentally hurts.

Give me a break!!!! They're not FORCING anything on anyone - they're handing them books. The receivers are perfectly free to reject the bibles, take them home, color in them or toss them in the trash.

I don't believe force was an issue.

"A federal judge ordered a small-town school to suspend a program that gives free Bibles to students..."

This is a freedom of speech issue.

Would you consider a politician offering bumper stickers and pins on the street corner fundamentally threatening?

Would you consider a school offering free condoms to students an act of forcing them to have sex?

Is your fear in the Bible itself?

"Forcing" traffic laws on people don't necessarily hurt.

But can you really say these people were being forced to take a Bible? If they said, "no thank you" they would have been punished?

You're mad at those crafty Gideons for passing out religious works in a place where the kids are conditioned to be sheeple. No fair adding their soap to the socialist brainwashing!

I didn't see any force being used in the story. Care to point it out?

There is no forcing argued here; anyway, just how could someone force you to accept it?

The school can't win this one but that hardly matters historically.

Right. I never liked the way those mean and nasty Gideons held my wrists and crammed it down my shirt. Sheesh.Grow up.
