Saw some guy, Roemer maybe, not sure......saying that OBL was never ever in anyone's sites and therefore, Sandy Burger NEVER EVER pulled the plug on moving in for the capture......and anyway it was Tenet who pulled the plug.
So there was no siting before there was a siting.....

Bin Laden was within striking distance several times during the Clinton Administration's 8 yrs. in office. He may not have been in someone's actual, literal GUNsights, so Tim Roemer may be speaking the truth, from the Clinton point of view. Doesn't mean that Clinton didn't let him get away, though, and that seems to be the point of the mini-series.
