Roll the video of Slick "I am sick and tired of hearing about FAMILY VALUES!"
The question is very simple: how can a democRATic and liberal mindset be reconciled with Christianity???
Hmmmmm!!!
Bill
Most people who take (evangelical) christianity can't support the democrat platform. It's manifestly evil in many clear ways. Simple.
on this so-called 'Christian' website is this link:
Kingdom Now
"An innovative group in the US they have provided a theological response to the 'national idolotary' of the church in the US in the form of 95 thesis. Challenging ideas of America as God's country it rejects the claim that the US is founded on Christian values."
Kingdom Now's website says:
"The tragedies of 11 September 2001 are grievous not only for the lives taken by terrorists, but also because their aftermath has powerfully revealed that we, the Church in the United States, have prostrated ourselves before the idol of our nation. Thus, it is with great sadness that the endorsers of this document humbly plead with our churches to join us in repentance, turning from the United States' twisted notions of liberty, democracy and justice, from the historical misconceptions of its "Christian heritage" and from the ubiquitous greed that drives our nation."
WOW... Noam Chomsky in a pulpit!!!
These are apostate leftists who wear the skin of 'Christians' to hid socialism. Just like 'watermelon' enviro-extremist socialist, they use one agend to hide their real agenda.
They have several front lines drawn to marginalize the Christian influence in the coming elections.
One: is to show examples of churches that have opted out of politics, ie: the news story about a church (in Wisconsin, I believe) that recently lost 2,000 members because the pastor preached against political involvement. The story cast the pastor in a good light. Psychologically, the piece tries to create an environment of non-involvement among Christians.
Two: Creation of false Christian Organizations and 'alliances' of certain Christian Pastors/Leaders that push for 'non-involvement' and now, as this post shows, they are even going for 'pro-democrat.'
Three: the traditional 'separation of church and state' arguments. Look for more attacks on the Cross and other cases to crop up in the news. The effect of which is to try to shame Christians into believing they are offending people, as a means of vote suppression of Christians.
On a similar subject: If Hillary runs, she is going to have a hard time getting out the vote. I don't think the bro's and sistah's much care for her, and thats a tremendous problem. Its the question of getting people to the polls. Sexy Bill could do that, Hillary can't. She doesn't have any personality. None. So if she does run, look for more sensational things such as the 'church burning' episodes of '96 that were exploited by Bill Clinton. It probably won't be church burnings, but something sensational to wake up the dem's base.
Many became conservative because they personally witnessed the terrible affect liberal politics had in their parish or denomination. It was in fact POLITICAL liberals who intruded their ideology into matters of faith and tradition.
Numerous books have described this phenomenon.
No way,Dems and Christians at the same time? Nope
Unless memory fails me one of the most if not the most successful preachers of this age who has literally preached to more persons than anyone else and likely led more persons to Christ is in fact a life long DEM. The very idea that the GOP or DEMs are the party of GOD is ridiculous. A person can be a Republican and be the very tool of the anti-Christ {trying to force Israel into peace treaties} but the world will not see it as such. What party supports almost unconditionally a nation which murders Christians solely because of it being it's beloved trading partner? There's plenty of evil in that respect for both parties to answer for. Being a Republican won't get you to heaven and being a DEM will not send anyone to hell.
LOL!
Right???
No doubt...our support of communist China in it's persecutions of the saints for the sake of the all mighty dollar is a vile abomination that this country will answer for someday.
It also shows what the leaders of this country love, cherish and worship above all others!
Why are you assuming that?
Because the only difference between a RINO like Giuliani and a demoRat like Hillary is the letter R beside Rudy's name.
LOL I think the site is a ginned up fake populated by Dem sock puppets...pathetic
just another Dem variation on the DU Google bomb...
Wrong. The Democratic party has kowtowed to the abortion and homosexual "rights" crowd. A great number of Christians couldn't stomach that, so they looked for a political party that better reflected their social views.
BTW, as the democrats cater more to the social leftists I look for more black Christians to vote republican/conservative.
Co Director Roy Herron says he is pushing for FaithfulDemocrats.com to help the Church avoid the heresy that Jesus is a captive of any political party
Oh give me a break. Who is saying that Jesus is a Republican? Robertson? Dobson? Falwell?
"You cannot in good conscience be a believing Christian and a Democrat at the same time."
I wasnt aware of this biblical law.
I don't assume that everyone who is on Free Republic is a conservative republican. I have watched the various polls conducted by Jim Robinson, and I think that there are mostly conservatives on Free Republic. However, there are some libertarian, some rinos, and some hit-and-run democrats.....and, of course, the occasional trolls.
Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me to find ~liberals on this thread, too.
If this happens, be skeptical of the Democrat. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat. I know it's hard sometimes to vote for certain Republicans but we must. The way committee chairmanships in state legislatures and the congress are structured, we need all the Rs we can get. The only way any pro-life Democrat is of any value to the pro-life movement is as long as Democrats are in the minority. Then their vote will help but if Democrats are in the majority, it is guaranteed there will no pro-life legislation even brought for consideration.
If the choice is in a legislative or congressional race, we must vote for a pro-abortion Republican before voting for a pro-life Democrat. This situation will be so rare, it's not worth worrying about.
I've been involved in a state legislature for years and Democrats fight to prevent from having even the most common-sense legislation approved as long as it may in any way discouraged any abortion from happening.
This is another reason I have no respect for any pro-life Democrat. They can't be serious or they wouldn't be Democrats in the first place.
I,too, doubt that Jesus would be a republican. However, He absolutely would not be a democrat.
I imagine Him preaching of their errors to both sides...sort of like His messages to the 7 churches in the Book of Revelation.
