I watched the 1st 15 mins. of Morning Joe because Scarborough was giving his analysis of yesterday’s election results. Oregon cigarette tax REJECTED and NJ Rejects Stem Cell Proposal show people vote conservative when their pocket books are affected.

Loosing the Kentucky governorship wasn’t a surprise. Something about corruption. Mississippi was a statement about how well the republican governor handled Katrina.

Joe was outraged that Bubba would use the swift boat card about Mrs. Flip Flop. Sounds like Bubba may have hurt her more than helped.

Joe slammed the republican congress for overriding Pres. Bush’s veto of this pork laden Water Bill. I agree.

No mention of “House Democrats on Tuesday narrowly managed to avert a bruising debate on a proposal to impeach Dick Cheney after Republicans, in a surprise maneuver, voted in favor of taking up the measure.” I did hear dem A.C. Hastings call Kisinnich a kook though.

On WABC they mentioned this “Poll finds 77% oppose licenses for illegals...” and it’s implications for “her” campaign.

Locally our young republican mayor was reelected. All in all republican seem to have done pretty well in this supposedly Blue state. Where we get killed is in the big cities and the limousine liberal parts of the state. Otherwise we are pretty red here in Connecticut.

Good morning, all.

No coffee yet so I won’t try to type anything.
