I just watched a snippet of Matt Lauer interviewing John Edwards. I gather Edwards has just announced his 2008 presidential candidacy. He's a cutie...gotta tell ya. And he said something I found interesting. He said, "we went to Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction. We thought they were there, I thought they were there....we were wrong".
Am I just grasping here, was that the most benevolent rendering of George Bush's reason for going to war? He made an honest mistake, he didn't intentionally lie us into war?
I would say that's a pretty fair characterization. Perhaps he sees no advantage in being a shrieking moonbat.
I see he has had the whatever it was removed from his upper lip. Cute or not, his home state would not have reelected him to the senate (for good reason, I believe) and I doubt would vote for him for president.
