Here is a link to McGruffs backup board if Free Republic is down click here which hasn't been happening much lately thanks to the fine work of the FR team.
Where’s Liza Minelli? Play “New York, New York” one more time and I’m going to scream. But isn’t it funny? I’m LOL at how hard Joe is humping MSNBC/NBC...like they just discovered big screen TV!
Cracks me up...Joe keeps on yammering about “30 Rock”, new home to MSNBC/NBC serious news, and I think they’re talking about the NBC Alec Baldwin sit-com of the same name.
""In case you missed it, a few days ago Senator Clinton tried to spend one million dollars on the Woodstock concert museum. Now, my friends, I wasn't there. I'm sure it was a cultural and pharmaceutical event. I was tied up at the time."
It really zings Hillary good
Joe just said he is a conservative Republican.
Do I have to turn in my credentials?
And Bloomberg thinks that Detroit is in trouble because they didn’t build fuel efficient cars.
Alternate universe this morning.
Good grief, this suck up session with Bloomberg is making me ill.
Joe and Mika agree, if John McCain was at the helm of state, they would have no problem with his war decisions.
Now you know Mika hates to see America use its military power and it wouldn’t matter who was running the show so just another example of the MSM trying to push the McCain candidacy.
Russert is on trying to pretend that his session with Colbert yesterday was interesting. It was not. It was awful.
Russert says Republicans don’t want to talk about Iraq, Katrina or spending. They continue to pretend that Iraq is not going well when it is, and that the federal government was the problem with Katrina when it wasn’t. On spending, Republicans did not do well, I’ll give him that.
A lot of the talk is about last night’s debate. It was the first one I’ve watched. With the exception of Ron Paul I was very pleased with the whole group of candidates we had up there. I think I’d be comfortable with anyone of them except Ron Paul.
A lot of talk of how much “she who’s name must not be mentioned” was the topic of discussion. I’ll bet their are a lot of conference calls this morning about how much she will energize the republicans. It sure showed last night. Hats off to the Florida Republicans. We should all be as engaged as they showed themselves to be last night. It was encouraging (if you’re a republican that is).
Let me say something about FNC. One of the candidates took a well deserved shot at the moderators for trying to get the candidates to attack each other. Carl Cameron and Mike Wallace especially. Lost a lot of respect for FNC last night.
And then this text message poll they did right after. Alana Colmes happily announced that Ron Paul won. Then Frank Luntz asked the 23 member focus group who thought Ron Paul won. NOT 1 PERSON RAISED THEIR HAND. NOT ONE! Just shows how unreliable this type of polling is. It’s why American Idol will fail. They use the same type of polling. I hope this is the last time they ever use this type of polling. It was below the standard that I’ve had for FNC.[/rant]
Hey, getting these guys to mix it up a bit is the point of the debate, I thought. Unlike MSNBC's long winded showboaters, FOXNEWS reporters asked some good questions. Maybe I'll reconsider, but my first impression of the debate was positive.
Spinning is what MSNBC analysts do best. Here's Jonathan Alter spinning crap on Huckabee in NEWSWEEK. I ain't buying it for a minute, but it's a fun read, if for other reason than to understand how these Clinton loving pundits will try to (dis)color reality to benefit Hillary.

EIB Alert: Rush will be a guest on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” with Joe Scarborough at 8:45 EST Tuesday morning.
Hard to believe, but there it is.
It's apparent NBC's political guru didn't watch the GOP debate last night as those topics took center stage.
Frankly I can't watch this show more than a few minutes as I find Mika romancing the camera a bit much so early in the morning.
According to Newbusters she really put her foot in her mouth again today:
On "Morning Joe," host Joe Scarborough, a Red Sox fan, and panelist Willie Geist, a former sports reporter and producer at CNN, were discussing at length the Sox's ALCS-clinching victory over Cleveland last night. Mika Brzezinski, trying to establish her own sports bona fides, proudly announced that she had watched Temple beat "Miami" in football. Upon questioning, it became clear that she didn't realize that Temple's opponent was Miami of Ohio, not the former national-champion Hurricanes. For that matter, it appeared that Mika was unaware of the very existence of Miami of Ohio. The screencap shows the moment in which a perplexed Mika shouted "what?" as Willie and Joe laid the news on her.
I’m aghast!
I know Rush will have many laudable reasons why he would go on MSNBC/Scarborough’s morning sideshow, but for the life of me, I can’t think of a single one.
LOL. So you noticed. For some time I have been wondering if she practices in front of a mirror. Those little mouth pursings, the lip curls, the hand gestures. It makes me laugh when it doesn't make me wretch.
You and Starfan have nailed “strike a pose” Mika.
Her bio reads as if she’s qualified for her present MSNBC gig, but oh my goodness, she can’t be taken seriously as journalist....can she? Her hatred for George Bush is obvious, her snide comments are so nasty, and her facial expressions aren’t accidental. She fully intends to please the MSNBC regulars, the “hate Bush” crowd, with her thinly veiled negative comments. Ascribing her anti-Bush comments to “others”, or “some would say”, doesn’t fool anyone.
Good morning, ya’ll.
Some early morning rain here.
Can’t believe Rush is going to make an appearance, but I will certainly watch.
Prayers for the folks in SoCal.
Dana Perino is doing a very fine job this morning.
She is lovely and intelligent and never makes those prissy mouthed faces that Mika does.
Mika says to Dana that the American people are tired of Iraq and Afganistan so what possible rationale can there be for giving the troops all of this money.
What a nasty little *word I don’t use* she is. OMG, she goes into the “we haven’t found Osama bin Ladin” crap (I do use that word).
FNFs interviewed one of the Barbie Girls. Her house was burning down. Just like it did in 1993. Just like it did in 1978. Will they ever learn?
On Special Report with Brit Hume last night they mentioned multiple times that the republican candidates were going after each other during the last debate. They didn’t say it was because of the repeated prodding by Chris Wallace and Campaign Carl. :(
