I would be interested in knowing who did the polls, and what the questions were. I was called on a poll that asked if I was happy with my senators. I said no, but that doesn't mean that I would ever vote for a Democrat let alone Jr.
Menedez (NJ) was on F&F this morning talking about the democrat plan for Iraq....turn over security to the Iraqi's as soon as possible....LOL. Steve Duci said: "Isn't that President Bush's plan?" Menendez: No, his plan is stay the course. You just can't beat it, dems are dumber than a white sock.
John McCain is the only man on the planet who might, just might, convince Colin Powell to go back to work, this time as VP. Of course Alma Powell will still fight it tooth and nail, but definitely McCain will pull Powell (and Armitage), into the fray in some capacity.
All this Katie chatter is silly. Nothing significant will change in the CBS evening news format until it becomes an hour show, like Brit's FOX Show.
Jon Meacham going to be NEWSWEEK editor? I still won't subscribe or buy it, but the guy seems genuinely nice and honest.
20 + million watch the network evening news? Surely that's a combined number.
Bill Carter didn't say a single definitive thing, or make a single clear prediction, hedged his bets on everything.
You better start keeping an eye on Fox and Freinds. I saw the rubber stamp for the gov of New Jersy get a lot of time condeming the sec. of defense and nobody else to debate him. I thought it was fair and balanced, not this time, I don't like that, they just got an email off me .

So I am to believe that Armitage never noticed Novak's first column, written shortly after Armitage talked to him and spilled the beans, even though the column caused a Beltway firestorm. He couldn't figure out that he was the "leaker" until months later. I'm having some trouble swallowing that one.

The DBM still is ignoring the "great" Fitzie, Powel, Armitage and Tenet fiasco. It was such fun when they thought they could hammer away at the Bush administration.
I couldn't resist. I've tuned into the 1830 feed of CBS Evening News W/Katie Couric.
What is the big friggin' deal? I can't watch any of the evening news programs and this is no different.
And to think, this is the way I used to get my news. I'm going back to Seinfeld and then the BBC feed at 1900.

LOL. It never occurred to watch until Thursday for the 90 seconds when Rush will be on. Other commentators are not being kind about her makeup.
