Your morning ping. Happy Thursday.
The only guest listed so far for this morning is Phil Simms.
Morning.
Rob Bartlett in the studio dressed in what Imus calls a bowling shirt.
What character?
Suspense!
Morning, lp. I got so wrapped up in watching the Fox stream of 9/11 that I almost forgot my duties.
I saw that thread. Still can't watch that stuff.
Kinky and Terry Bradshaw on tomorrow.

Bernard: "Disaster in the making." Later, "It's a man's job."
There is supposed to be a hearing on John Bolton today at 9:30 Eastern. Chris Dodd was on the floor of the Senate foaming at the mouth yesterday over what a meanie Bolton is and dredging up the same calumnies he used the first time around. Interesting that one of the most vicious comments about Bolton came from Larry Wilkerson, a deputy to Colin Powell about whom we know much more than we did then.
I think I just heard Imus say that Chris Dodd will be on this morning. Hmmmm.
I know who Wilkerson is but I'm not up on the Bolton thing. I'll look around C-SPAN.
On their front page. I don't get C-SPAN3. There is a live internet feed.

FROM THE SENATE
Bolton U.N. Nomination
The Senate Foreign Relations Cmte. takes up the nomination of John Bolton as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. The Cmte., chaired by Sen. Richard Lugar (R-IN), also considers other ambassa-
dorial nominations and an extra-
dition treaty between the U.S. and Great Britain-Northern Ireland.

BUSINESS MTG. AGENDA
Dodd bump. coming up.
"Walter Cronkite" will have more observations on [Walter's voice] - "The CBS Evening News."
Larry Kenny is in great form today.
Phone call with Dodd was short because of phone problems so he didn't have as much time as he usually does to make a fool of himself. He did manage to say that we shouldn't be in Iraq because the people don't want us there and they are not showing the proper gratitude.
David Gregory coming up on Imus.
BUBBA GOES BALLISTIC ON ABC ABOUT ITS DAMNING 9/11 MOVIE (demanding the network "pull the drama") ^ |

Posted by IrishMike On 09/07/2006 8:18:52 AM EDT · 49 replies · 871+ views NY Post ^ | September 7, 2006 -- | Ian Bishop WASHINGTON - A furious Bill Clinton is warning ABC that its mini-series "The Path to 9/11" grossly misrepresents his pursuit of Osama bin Laden - and he is demanding the network "pull the drama" if changes aren't made. Clinton pointedly refuted several fictionalized scenes that he claims insinuate he was too distracted by the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal to care about bin Laden and that a top adviser pulled the plug on CIA operatives who were just moments away from bagging the terror master, according to a letter to ABC boss Bob Iger obtained by The Post. The former president... |
I was disappointed at how much E.D. Hill was defending "former president" Bill Clinton.
Imus correctly points out that what Gregory does is cite dem talking points in the press conferences. He doesn't remember telling Tony not to point his finger at him (under the influence again?). David, it's a little old to continue to revisit the failure to anticipate the insurgency. Nice video of Tony Snow, looking good. David is trying very hard not to fall into the trap of being too critical of Tony.
I'd hate to be deposed by Imus for the things I've done in my life.
Brutal.
So true. Amazing how much of it there is. And people who do not fall into that category, Rummy, the President, etc., are pilloried.
I can't agree more except I might use the word delusional instead on juvenile. We can only hope the sheeple can see through this farce.
Everyone should be forced to watch Pres. Bush's speech yesterday about how important these CIA prisons were in preventing another 9/11 instead of listening to the MSM misreporting of it.
