There was so little to say all day today, I decided to wait until the storm was leaving Florida for a new thread.

Sitrep: the dadgum thing waited until it went over land to start actually looking like a dang tropical depression.

The weather over much of Florida is worse now than it was at landfall, but nothing all that horrible.

Forecasters are telling people in the mid-Atlantic to start building arks.

Joe Bastardi is predicting a Cat 7 landfall in South Carolina.

It is only supposed to be 68 degrees on Friday, here in Virgina, west of DC.(hard to believe). Won't this temperature differential, suck all the moisture out of Ernesto?

Yes they are. There is a trough to the north; and a low pressure system, and Ernie coming from the south. We are doomed. Doomed I tell ya...the only bright spot...the AccuWeather (located in Happy Valley) folks won't have to travel very far to report on Ernesto :)
