A leading anti-war Democrat is criticizing Senator Hillary Clinton on her stance on the war in Iraq.
Pennsylvania Congressman John Murtha has been an outspoken critic of the war. Last year he called on the Bush administration to immediately withdraw American troops. Now in an interview airing tonight on NY1’s “Inside City Hall,” Murtha is turning his tough talk on Clinton.
“I have been disappointed. I've been disappointed she hasn't spoken out more forcefully. She's a leader in the Democratic Party -- she's probably going to be the nominee for president next year,” said Murtha.
Asked whether Clinton would make a good president, Murtha had this to say:
“There's an awful lot of things that she would bring to the nomination process, but this is one area where she has to step up at some point and I don't know whether it's related to New York politics or what it is, but I would hope that in the next few months she would make her position clear," said Murtha.
In response to Murtha's criticisms, a Clinton spokesman said: "Senator Clinton has been a clear and consistent critic of the way the Administration has handled the war and believes the Iraqis must step up so we can begin to bring our troops home."

Hillary is for the war but a critic of the administration on how it is handling the war.

If Hillary changes her position on the Iraq War based on the "Bush Lied" premise, then she would be admitting that her husband, whom she was co-president with, turned over false intelligence to the Bush Administration through George Tenent and Richard Clark.
I just love it when the RATS eat their own. LOL I can't wait for all of those idiots to square off at each other when the Presidential race in 08 gets into full swing. :o)

You see, Diana, the American Communists have been so busy targeting President Bush and Republicans for the "fascist" label -- because Hillary did do some support of the war, she's in the "fascist" category in the mind of liberals. So, he's taking the mantle off her so she can now just look like a smiley-faced communist.
As I said, timing is always so important in these matters. What Murtha's doing is too late to be sucessfully done.
