August 24, 2006 -- WITH the best intentions, President Bush recently declared that it's racist to say that Arabs can't build democracies.
Is it?
I made the same claim in the run-up to the first Iraqi elections, when Western leftists desperate for Iraq to fail tried to block the vote by claiming that the population wasn't ready.

If it fails it fails and the Arabs will have thrown away a golden opportunity. Then we'll try a new approach....
"The United States favors an Iraq that offers its people freedom at home. I categorically reject arguments that this is unattainable due to Iraq's history or its ethnic or sectarian make-up. Iraqis deserve and desire freedom like everyone else. The United States looks forward to a democratically supported regime that would permit us to enter into a dialogue leading to the reintegration of Iraq into normal international life."

Absolutely, we gave the ME a chance after 9/11.
We gave the ones who want to live in civilized nations a chance.
We gave their children a chance.
The next President should give no quarter, he should be ruthless.
And an SOB of the highest order!
Agreed!
I forgot to mention that we gave the UN and Europe a chance to step up, of course they failed.
One cannot defeat problems and challenges unless one is first able to assume personal responsibility for said problems.
Blame is Satan's ideal recipe for stagnation and insanity (works the same way for the cRATs, also).

Bush was not stating that it would be racist, but because of history, culture (ethnic), or religion.
Arab history, culture, and the main religion, could make representative government more difficult, but Arabs and Arab countries could still succeed in forming a representative government, even if the first is not Iraq.
Amen. I, too, thought ALL people want freedom and democracy...HA! What a joke now....these 7th CENTURY cretins want nothing of the sort...they are BARBARIANS!!! Ann Coulter was right.
Peters makes that point in the article. Did you read it?
>And it isn't racist...it is the islamic culture of blame (as Peters says) that is the guilty party.<

The first line of the post used racist, and Bush did not declare it as racist.
You got that right, neighbor!
Iraq's democracy won't fail.
It's just not an overnight sensation like the winner of "American Idol" or "Survivor" or something.
These things take work and they take time.
Our own democracy did.
Sorry, but the Arabs are proving exactly the opposite. I see and hear NO condemnation from Arabs/Muslims EXCEPT against Profiling!! Muslim Americans may be on a higher rung than ME Arabs, but they are ALL led by Imams and Mulklahs and they are AFRAID to voice an independent thougt because well....they may be BEHEADED!!! Barbarians.
Arabs aren't up to living in the 21st century. They prefer the 7th century life-style where the imam tells you how to wipe your butt, literally. These people are not modern-day material. Too bad we are stupid enough to be captive to their oil supply so they can use our money to buy all the things we have invented in order to kill us.
