McCain doesn't need to win Republican primaries.
He is going to do a Perot.
Unless Republicans find a candidate who will pull major support away from the Democrats (such as conservative women, blacks, and hispanics) we will be screwed again -- with another Clinton or worse Democrat.

I'm not arguing with you specifically but I don't see how this definition makes any sense. Is Newt Gingrich a former socialist? Tom Delay? For my money, Wikipedia is crap since people get to create their own definitions as well as have critics define their opponents.

What is the difference between Ronald Reagan and 'neoconservatives' considering that Dutch was a former Dem? I know that it is considered a slur like liberals believe 'liberal' is used. The whole 1994 revolutionary wave were 'neocons' purportedly but supposedly so are Rummy, Perle, Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz and others who are all much older and not part of the conservative revolution which claimed Congress.

I'm still very confused.
