I really liked SMASH's report of his interaction with the pinkos - what a bunch of losers they are - and thank you for the link to AnySoldier. I ordered a t-shirt with the Major League Infidel logo, and am considering a calendar - the first issue of the calendar is sold out, and they have only 100 copies of the second and third, so I'd better make up my mind! I think my "interviews" are really starting to aggravate Bruce. His dilemma is that he can't really complain, because I'm just so gosh-darn nice and polite to everyone. But he definitely doesn't want me there.
(How did I learn to keep my cool in these situations, you ask? Well, I was sent to Egypt a couple of months after 9/11, to help coordinate port security for the multi-national Bright Star exercise. I had to work *diplomatically* with Egyptians who said things like "I like Americans, but I hate your government," or "What are you so afraid of, Bin Laden won't attack here, we are Muslim!" or the ever-popular "Osama isn't so bad, you just don't understand him." I managed not to kill anyone -- despite the fact that I was carrying a loaded 9mm Beretta on my hip -- and dealing with people of every stripe after that has been easy by comparison.)
I could tell Bruce was cracking when he gave me the cupcake. That was just bizarre. I think he realized that I wasn't going to react to his obnoxious behavior, so he was trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the newbies, who clearly thought he was being a jerk (as he was).
Their attendance is shrinking, and outside the die-hards, there is not a lot of enthusiasm for keeping this going.
