I think this is one of my favorites. I'm sure all the naysayers would say it was a publicity stunt, but they're all a bunch of pigs. Not that the truth would sway some anti-American Bush haters overseas even if they saw it. They're idea of a salute is to wave a white flag at a terrorist (e.g. the UN re: Iraq).
The naysayers can kiss my grits. This was no publicity stunt. The soldier had said he was going to recover enough to run with the President, and GWB issued the invitation on the spot. When the soldier did, indeed, recover enough, they jogged on the WH running path.
