Yesterday, during the Steve Dahl show on WCKG radio in Chicago, radio legends Steve Dahl and Garry Meier reunited after a bitter breakup (that occurred more than ten years ago).
I listened to these guys during the late seventies/early eighties. Nice to see them back together if for only one day.

Been an interesting week for Chicago radio! Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson subbed for the Roe Conn crew yesterday.
Garry Meier = Total A-hole
Ever since Garry left the Roe Conn show, the show has been better....
Disco Demolition night...an all-time classic...
I got a kick out of Larry Lujack's comment on Meier: "Just be happy that we don't have a Yoko Meier working for us. If we want to commit career suicide, we can do it on our own."
LOL! I agree. Alone, Steve Dahl can be hard to take and Garry Meier can be a jerk at times. Though, when they're together, they become very entertaining.
Maybe I'm interested because listening to Steve and Garry bring back memories of my youth. I have to say that some of the best and funniest radio commentary that I've ever heard came from Steve and Garry during the Gary Dotson/Cathleen Crowell media frenzy.
LOL!!!
There were people sliding down the backstop netting behind home plate - from the upper deck!
Ditto.
Steve Dahl was really funny during the Iran hostage crisis.
Gerry was always a second banana, a rather weak prop.
But I thought he was better with Roe Conn.
I won't listen if Gerry does team up with Dahl.
Besides, I usually listen to Michael Medved at that time.
Maybe this time around Meier can catch a break and not listen to the wife for the negotiating tactics.
"Garry Meier = Total A-hole"
Bingo!
Still miss Don McNeil's Breakfast Club.
Good to see this--life's too short. These guys were good buddies for years and when they were together they smoked. I miss those days in Chicago.
These are guys who.. just talk, right?
Most folks can do that.
Good Lord, man, that triggers the wayback machine!
He once interviewed me on his TV show from the Morrison Hotel.
Me being a smartass kid, of course.
