N. Korean Authorities Urge Civilians to Evacuate Near Site of Possible Nuke Test (Breaking)
Headline News Yahooo Japan (in Japanese) JIJI PRESS ^ | 19 August 2006 | JIJI Press, quoting Joongang Ilbo Daily

Posted on 08/18/2006 7:46:33 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Reports from Seoul Korea, (daily newspaper Joongang Ilbo in Seoul) via the Japanese Jiji press agency, that South Korean intelligence has intercepted radio messages/communications in North Korea, which were aired last month, to civilians in the Kilju County, Northern Hamgyeong Province area of northeastern D.P.R.K., to evacuate.

The source in the South Korean government said "our interpretation is that following North Korea's underground nuclear blast test, they wish to head off any escape of radiation that would be a threat to the nearby civilian population and are evacuating as such."

Follow up here to The President in Camp David just today specifically--out of the clear blue--warning North Korea directly, NOT TO DO IT.

Why would they listen to President Bush? They know he's not going to do anything.

its not nice we have to follow the rules of war

Unfortunately, our enemies do not have to.  The US, and now Isreal, have to fight with one eye toward the left's anti-America propaganda.  This is why the missions in Iraq and Afganistan have been dragging on for years now.  In reality, these operations could have been over in a few months.  PC wars cannot be won.

It's tough working for a living. It cuts into the party time.

No one seems to grasp the U.S. will never preemptively use a nuke again.

And make sure the alarm clock is not on auto! Sleep in tomorrow.

Great advice, mom4kittys! Let's share that with JRandomFreeper. After an 80 hour week, there's only two choices....make sure the alarm is not on "auto", or shoot the clock in the morning. LOL

We won't for a variety of reasons although we still reserve the right to do so.

The only nation that has publicly sworn off of "first strike" is the People's Republic of China.

I think a lot of people here are blood thirsty and would like nothing better than for us to turn about half the world into radioactive ash.

80 hour weeks are the American way, if you work for a start-up,and want to get ahead in the world. Mexican immegrants work pretty standard 90 hour weeks (40 at the full-time restaurant, 34 at the part-time restaurant {so they can be part-time}, and the balance on Sunday afternoons after Mass, pouring concrete with the naturalized brother-in-law).

God bless America.
