Reports from Seoul Korea, (daily newspaper Joongang Ilbo in Seoul) via the Japanese Jiji press agency, that South Korean intelligence has intercepted radio messages/communications in North Korea, which were aired last month, to civilians in the Kilju County, Northern Hamgyeong Province area of northeastern D.P.R.K., to evacuate.
The source in the South Korean government said "our interpretation is that following North Korea's underground nuclear blast test, they wish to head off any escape of radiation that would be a threat to the nearby civilian population and are evacuating as such."

NBC gear is part of standard issue according to MTOE orginization for the last 30 years. There won't be any sudden issue of NBC equipment as it is part of standard issue.
Norfolk? its a little late for them to be in Norfolk.
Iran knows that in a conventional showdown, they are toast. the only way they can succeed, is to use the element of proximity to the theatre, and the time it would take US forces to ramp up, to their advantage. if they can make a quick move and seize some key oil field assets in iraq, entrench their ground forces there, and ramp up all their proxy attacks (shia militia, terrorists, syria, etc), start destroying tankers in the Persian Gulf and send oil to $200 - what happens?
its like the battle of the bulge - Germany wasn't try to win the war with that offensive, as in defeating the Allies. they were simply trying to break the allied determination to pursue the war, with the hope of getting the allies to consider a negotiated settlement rather then fighting total war to the end to break Germany.
Do you think the americans are ready to fight a war with iran? or would they be looking at $6 gasoline and say - let's make a deal with these guys.

No, but I think the government is ready .... maybe at the cost of an impeachment ... but I hope that we're ready for whatever comes down the pipe.
Then again I may just be whistling past the graveyard.
Should perform a ground-level test, say, in Mecca or Medina.
