GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen kidnapped two foreign journalists working for the Fox News television channel in Gaza on Monday, a witness said.
The witness, a Palestinian who worked with the two journalists, said one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman.
The Fox News bureau in Jerusalem said it was checking the report.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the abduction.
The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalist's transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to the bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.
The kidnappers then sped away with the two journalists.
Similar incidents in the past in Gaza have ended with the release, usually within hours, of kidnapped foreign journalists or aid workers.
Many of the abductions were carried out by Palestinians pressing a grievance against the Palestinian government or its security forces
I looks like they did not like the coverage given by this reporter.
Hunt????
His voice is always strident and sounds like there's some big emergency going on even when there isn't one. And I agree with you that he completely sides with the terrorists.
I don't like him at all and frequently change the channel when he's on because he's made statements before like the one you outlined and it infuriated me.
You know who I was tempted to post who also wore the blue vest and helmet... Thank goodness I held that urge back... wouldn't be proper.
How's he going to get home. No mascara allowed on US planes!
Hunt is the only reporter with FNC who has a noticeable British accent, IIRC.
No way, they'd send him back with condolences.
Mike Vin Diesel Tobin is in Israel right?
Amy Kellogg is meaner than a snake and braver than a rodeo clown. She can hold her own.
greg palkot?

TWO journalists from the US Fox News television channel, one American and the other Irish, were kidnapped by armed men in Gaza, witnesses said.
The two, a correspondent and a cameraman, were seized after gunmen intercepted their car in Gaza City.
The Fox TV team's Palestinian driver and two other journalists were set free. No group has yet claimed responsibility for kidnapping the pair.
Is JOnathan Hunt Irish???
That's who I was thinking about, Mike Tobin. They may have bit off more than they can chew if they kidnapped Tobin. He looks solid as a rock.
I bet they won't until it's a hard and true fact and still they'd probably delay it for negotiations. I mean why publicize it when that's just playing into the terrorists' hands.
Correspondent, huh
It is in Gaza, not Lebanon. So the ceasefire doesn't cover there.
No comment... just went to confession last week.
Do you know how to sneak up on a bunny? Unique up on him! /j
CNN reported this too. Of course, gel bras are a much more important story in Fox's mind. Thank goodness DaySide is over.
