Then they've signed their own death warrant...

No, they haven't. This is OLD NEWS yet again.

This scenario, war, has been played over and over and over and over and over again since 1947.
Weapons have gotten meaner but since both sides have them the death tolls and destruction rise.
The Israelis can't use their U.S.-given-bought-nukes because they would be nuking their own lands, since they control it all. Way too close for nukes. They can't despoil their own with the fallout.

Nothing changes. War, death, destruction, cease-fire, clean-up, rebuild and it starts all over again.

You will read and see the exact same news in three years. The land of milk and honey.

How Jesus would weep to see his homeland. The Crusades should have succeeded. This wouldn't be happening if the Christians had won back and kept the Holy Land, as they had it since Roman times.

I can only agree to a point - It's not wise to believe that the 'fighting' will always stay at these levels - At some point, the pot of water will boil over. It may not be this year...but it will happen...

Israel built their own nukes, starting and the '50s. They have been a nuclear power for half a century. And many of our scientists and mathematicians that developed the US bomb in the mid '40s were Jews that became Israelis. If they don't intend to occupy the land in question, a fusion bomb is clean enough to use.

From the King James:

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

"war, has been played over and over and over and over and over again since 1947".

More like since about 1947 B.C., actually;)

Except that time marches onward. But the Biblical clock started ticking down when Israel was created in one day according to prophesy on May 14th 1948. The Bible clearly indicates that the generation shall not pass away before all the end time prophesies come to pass. The question is...how long is a Biblical generation? Plainly it is longer than 20 years. But I have seen writings of important end time scholars who say it is more likely to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-85 years. In which case, human history is drawing to a close....at least the timeline wherein mankind is in charge. That's just my .02, though.

Uh...How wrong can someone be. The Romans as Pagans controlled this land from 63 through 313. Now this control was established by killing the 580,000 to 1,300,000 Jews who happened to live there. For the next 200 years Christians were persecuted just about equally to Jews because most of them just happened to be Jews. One could say this land finally came under "Christian" control when Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan ending the persecution of Christians. Now Constantine was essentially the last Emperor over all of Rome. The next 80 years seeing the final division of the Empire into the the West (Roman) and East (Greek) or Byzantine Empire.

However, in 634 first Islamic Caliphate ceased this territory and held it until about 1095. From 1099 to 1187, the Kingdom of Jerusalem (Christian) held the land. In 1187, Saladin took back Jerusalem and over the next hundred years the Kingdom was extinguished.

So lets total this up. Christian control years = 409 years.
