First of all you talk of not understanding a REAL democracy, then you talk of Pro American as if they are one and the same?
Mohammed Mossadegh, was Irans first every democratically elected prime minister, he then moved to nationalization Irans Oil industry, not following same suit as the Pro Saudi Dictatorship, making US, UK Oil companies unhappy.
How much money they have invested in the US, 800 Billion, this is your idea of pro American democracy?
After just 2 years of democracy, coup is formed, Pro American, Shah of Iran, the monarchial dictator privatizes Oil back to US/UK Oil companies. murder, rape of civilians, mass protest and so on.
Natural Iranian people overthrow dictatorship, and replace it with what is now a democracy which isn't going to throw billions of dollars into New York banks.
Then US support dictator Saddam against the Iranian...
As to your question, Iran wants NOTHING that the US has to offer, and has everything the US wants. This means it is they who want to be left alone not the other way round.
Now back to my first response. Iran has been a strong supporter of democracy in Iraq based on the points I posted in post 34.
