Can a good Muslim be a good American?
A friend who knows | 8/11/2006 | Agent Smith

Posted on 08/11/2006 6:36:37 AM PDT by Agent Smith

I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.

I don't know of any Christians murdering people in the name of their god?

Not many Muslims do either.

Bust the majority of Muslims are not opposed to Islamofascists murdering people in the name of Allah.

That's the whole point.

Islam has got to undergo a drastic and deep change before Muslims can take their place with other civilized, peaceable people. We will know they are making headway when they no longer strap bombs to their children and when they allow non-Muslims to freely worship within Muslim borders the same way Muslims are permitted to freely worship in the west.

You of all people should know that. You are constantly defending obsequious kissy-kissy noises and kowtowing from the Vatican directed toward Islam. And why do you defend it? Because you believe it is the only way to placate the mad dogs of Islam who have the throats of Christians in their jaws.

"But the majority of Muslims are not opposed to Islamofascists murdering people in the name of Allah."

Tell that to the families of Muslims killed in Bali. Tell it to the families of Muslims killed on 9/11. I thought the original question had to do with American Muslims. In that respect, I believe that the majority of America Muslims *are* opposed to "murdering people in the name of Allah." Moreover, given the question, "can a good Muslim be a good American," I still maintain the answer is yes, based on my knowledge and experience with the many Muslims I know who *are* good Americans.

You have me confused with someone else, Eccles. Your posts to me continue to make absolutely no sense.

No, I don't hear crickets. In the days following 9/11 there was a mass demonstration in east Dearborn in support of America. Flags were waved, candles were lit, etc. Fully a third of east Dearborn Arabs have supported our war in Iraq. Do enough American Moslems speak out loud enough against Islamic fascism to suit me? No. But this doesn't make them bad Americans. How many American Irish Catholics spoke out against the IRA?

Almost none. And some, like Peter King and Ted Kennedy, raised money for the friggin' IRA!

Supporting terrorism? I'd say so.

One of your fellow-pointy-heads sums it up.

No. But the overwhelming majority of Muslims are not murdering in the name of their God, either.

You are attempting to impute collective guilt to the entire Muslim religion for the actions of a few.

"American Irish Catholics spoke out against the IRA?"

The IRA wasn't killing in the name of their god. You are talking apples and oranges. But i agree with you, the IRA was making a dangerous life for all of Ireland.

As it was so well put, the hay stack could be burned at anytime to get the needle.

The IRA wasn't killing in the name of their god.

The IRA was killing in the name of their Catholicism against the Protestant British crown.

As it was so well put, the hay stack could be burned at anytime to get the needle.

It could, and it would be a moral abomination. Killing all to get a few is genocidal.

So, if I find one or five or ten headlines dealing with American Moslem soldiers who did their duty, that pretty much shoots your logic all to hell, doesn't it?

Moreover, I'd say that political correctness is mostly born out of simple mindedness. I'd also say that the really "politically correct" people on this thread and others like it are those who paint all American Moslems with the same broad and dirty brush.

These charts go to show that France is now in fact a Muslim country, IMHO.
