US Muslims bristle at Bush term "Islamic fascists" And I guess I just missed seeing them bristle at 9 / 11.
I must have not been watching that day.

I'm offended because President Bush was being redundant.

U.S. Muslim groups criticized President George W. Bush on Thursday for calling a foiled plot to blow up airplanes part of a "war with Islamic fascists," saying the term could inflame anti-Muslim tensions. Or, perhaps the plot to blow up airplanes could "inflame anti-Muslim tensions". Did CAIR, et al ever think about THAT??

wtf? CAIR makes a statement that 90%+ of the US population would find ridiculous and Reuters doesn't bother to interview one person who disagrees with it?

I listened to "W" quite carefully. He used the term I've been pushing for the last 10 years ~ ISLAMO-FASCISTS.
That way you get the idea across concerning their affiliations without granting them any legitimacy as ISLAMIC.

"Theocratic totalitarians" would be more accurate than "fascists", but it's close enough for government work and much better than the effecively meaningless "war on terror".
