Well, that is an inconvenience for business travelers (and a potential boon for luggage handling thieves).

Not just that, security risk at large. How many of those laptops are carrying lists of people's credit card numbers, social security numbers, other juicy stuff that the carriers have been told to jealously guard?

I believe that most travellers do fully understand the world today. These talking points about travellers not tolerating "inconvenience" don't ring true and seem to come from some corporate level somewhere.
