imagine having to throw away your $60 bottle of Channel #5

I saw many dozens of the grey bins filled with perfumes, lipsticks, aftershave, chapstick, lotion, shampoo, and etc. No liquids or creams are allowed even near the checkpoints. The receptacles were being bagged up and labeled, and moved away at a very steady pace under surveillance. Likely that we will not hear about the results of the analysis, but there were very few middle-eastern people at the airports where I was today.

I also flew today. Everything was delayed and there were a lot of police with dogs at the LR airport when I finally arrived home. My luggage was "lost" but it turned up a few hours later. The terror threat seemed very real today as I was sitting in the Hartsfield Airport.

I still wonder why they threw the stuff away as opposed to packing it in checked luggage.

Perfume is one thing, if the bottle broke, yuk!

I need to find luggage that has a waterproof compartment to stash away creams etc.
