Breaking News Lieberman Concedes Senate Race, Will Run as Independent Just a headline right now....
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
That's not necessarily so. The more moonbatty they get, the better. They already can't win nat'l elections because of their anti-Americanism. Lieberman gave them the opportunity to pretend to be normal. Now the pretense is gone, and I say good. And anyway, Lieberman's just a typical DC incumbent who thinks he's got a job coming to him. Screw him.
and, reduces the numbers as far as Dems in the Senate go.
Senator Lieberman lost his right to run as a **Democrat** in the November election.
He can still run for election on the November General ballot, but to do so he will have to **switch** parties (which he did tonight).
But by switching Parties, he is no longer a Democratic Party Democrat. He's switched to some flavor of Independent Senator.
Thus, the Democratic Party has lost a sitting Senator tonight to a Party switch; they have only 43 left (plus 2 Independents: Lieberman and Jeffords).
"Hmm does anyone thinmk Joe can pull this off as an independent?"
No but it sounds like a great op for the Republicans to pick up a seat.
They said the same about Lamont a few months back.
It's time to believe
I predict they he may be the first of many to become Independents.
True Conservatives? I don't know.. it seems as if people are not as staunch in their loyalties as they used to be. It's still risky business going independent as you could split your party vote.
Perhaps the Dems should get a clue and actually run on some platform other than.. "anyone but Bush"
"So if the democrats don't want him, who does he think is going to vote for him?
Probably lots of Republicans and "centrists""
Some of the 49% of Democrats who DID want him.
Lots of Republicans who won't vote for a credibility-challenged guy with the gambling problem.
The Independents, who are the plurality in this state (there are more Independents than either registered Republicans or Democrats) and who have voted for Lieberman in the past.
It is easier for a non-partisan to vote for a non-partisan than a partisan, when the non-partisan is a respected and well-liked incumbent Senator, and the Republican and Democrat candidates are weak.
Who will vote for him? Lots of Republicans. Lots of Democrats. Jews of whatever party. Lots of Independents.
He'll win big.
And should.
That isn't necessary. Everybody will be talking about wackos and kooks for 3 months. That's better entertainment.
ANN COULTER NEEDS TO RUN
Not going to happen and I'd rather see a true independent than one more RINO in the Senate.
And my bet is that Lieberman wins in Novemeber, with some Republican crossover votes and the overwhelming majority of the independents.
The moonbats thought Lamont was going to win in a landslide, and it wasn't at all. Tonight is Lamont's high water point.
I hope you are right. If I lived in Conn., I would support him, too.
I think the GOP candidate is polling in the single digits in a three-way race.....
Why does anyone care?
Not interested in the political digestive tract of Algore's mule in a dinky state. Let him rot among fools.
I've seen polls that give him a commanding lead in a three-way race...
Anyone else see the "Hannity Sucks Ass" sign at the Lamont headquarters inadvertently shown on Fox? I thought the liberals were such tolerant people. I thought Lamont supporters were the upper crust of Connecticut intellects. The sign revealed the true capacity of a liberal.
BTW, was the "Dean" running the Dem machine against Lieberman and for Lamont in Connecticut by any chance Howard Dean's brother???
I am so hoping for him to win big.
