This year, we are told, the Muslim commemorations associated with their calendar date 27 Rajab will occur on August 22...

If as the president of the Reform Party in Syria, Farid Ghadry claims, Ahmadinejad is planning an illumination of the night sky over Jerusalem to rival the one that greeted the Prophet of Islam on his journey, then it is difficult to imagine anything other than a full-scale Iranian nuclear attack. As Spencer continues, a nuclear attack on Jerusalem or even an all-out conventional assault against Israel by Iran would be consistent with Ahmadinejads oft-repeated denials of Israels right to exist and recent predictions that its demise was at hand. These observations are the latest from a growing list of ominous portents from Iranian and Syrian leaders too horrific to ignore.

When the Iranian President wrote to Bush in May of 2006, few realized he was offering the West a truce. If Bush were to convert to Islam, all past grievances would be forgiven."
He didn't write those terms to Bush alone; the Germans had one, and other Western countries leaders. It is standard practice by Muslims to give fair opportunity to their opponents before forcing them to capitulate. In their eyes it washes their hands of the consequences.
I'm sorry you don't believe that God chose the Hebrews to tell the world about Him......one day you will bow down to Him and believe, I just hope it's not before you die....it will be too late for you then...
Wanna bet on the winner?
But then what would that have to do with the UN resolution
Correct.
You forgot that then THEY crucified him! Don't believe He is His Son. Some vessels for God, Eh? He is coming, perhaps soon and all this will be sorted out.
The letter to President Bush ended with this:
VASALAM ALA MAN ATABA 'al hoda
It is the same term used in letters of Muhammad to the Byzantine, Persian, and Ethiopian emperors of his day warning them to accept Islam and his rule or suffer the consequences, and a letter from Khomeini to Mikhail Gorbachev along similar lines.
If UI were Iran I wouldn't play with nukes. A Trident can really ruin your day. Of course we would have to find somebody with the balls to actually use a Trident for what it was designed for.
Don't forget the Jews then sentenced him to death.
As far as I know Islam is the only religion trying to kill us all. Did I miss one? Have the Baptists gone to war?
If this had not occurred, there would be no salvation for ALL of mankind. Had Pilate not washed his hands, the timing would have been different. Seems like the Resurrection proved that even crucifixion could not cause the triumph of death.
Wrong! For starters, Bernard Lewis is a highly recognized scholar on Islamic history, to name one. By coincidence he wrote an essay in the WSJ today titled 'August 22.'
==I think since it is being discussed it would not happen==
Wrong again. Few doubt Iran's leader is a certifiable nutjob with delusions. For somebody to say Isreal needs to be wiped off the face of the earth and refuses to stop nuclear programs should be the first hint!
Artillery is a good way to commit yourself, but unless they use nukes, it would do little more than pull the dogs ears.
lol...
Iran is up to something.
The attack and kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers last month was deliberate.
They want to fight a war with the United States and Israel involved and are using this fight with Israel to drive a wedge between the United States and Europe.
They aren't repeating Saddam's mistake of trying to draw Israel in after the war began in 1991. They're getting it done early muddying the issue.
Iran may hope to delay action against it while its nukes are being developed. I know they're crazy but crazy enough to attack August 22nd. Don't know.
I don't think they have nukes yet but next year they may. Its safe to say a crash program is going on in Iran now.
" killing a majority of the Jews"
I believe the majority of Jews do not live in Israel.
