A Day in the Life of President Bush - (photos) - 8.8.06

There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.

So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.

Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!

Thanks! I was thrilled at the way they turned out.

Had the lighting been a little better, they would have been even sharper, but because I was so close, they turned out well anyway.

Kitkat, thanks for the explantion of "Flat Stanley. It's a very neat idea for school children. As for Barney, LOL! I love his expression in that photo. He is all terrier and not given to warmly greeting critters smaller than himself. Barney looks like he's trying to decide if he can bite Stanley's head off. Literally. His ears are partially back and his eyes say it all. LOLOL!

Do you have the beautiful one in a blue shirt holding a flower (looking off to the side?) I can post it here if you'd like.

If you mean this one, it is one of my favorites after the denim shirt one. I actually printed it out on photo paper and framed it. My two best friends, who are devout Dems think I've finally plunged off the deep end.

It aint you that's off the deep end!

It's them Dems who obviously can't recognize masculine beauty when they see it, forget about him being a Republican!

Laura is soooooo lucky! :o)

"Hottie" was touched, and very thankful.

(And he's looking real good these days, in case you're interested. Maxed out his PT test twice in two weeks. :)

I'm thinking that someone grabbed ol Stanley right up shortly after that picture was taken.

Talk about giving meaning to "the dog ate my homework"......

The rules about the Dose are long term, and well established, and I did not make them.

The problem was not in your post, but that you pinged venomous Bush haters to this thread.

The rules on the Dose include respect for the President and for each other.

If you don't like them, you are free to stay off the thread.

(And why you pinged the same haters here again is quite disturbing).
