BY throwing out reasonably sane conservative demokratz, their party will become the party of Soros-Moore-Sheehan Moonbats. They can never ever find their way to the middle because it will have basically disappeared from their horizon............

he [ Bill Clinton] was a Democrat in the middle from the south with a very strong acquaintanceship with scripture.

I think Cokie's acquaintanceship with reality is tenuous...

Here's an interesting quote from Cokie Roberts.

She's old enough to remember Scoop and Moynihan:)

My fearless prediction: Lieberman wins a squeaker tomorrow.

I always find it strange that the liberals like Stepanopoulos are not shocked by the truth of what someone is saying as much as that they are saying it....and saying it on his show.

Did Perot ever harp on Bush 41 raising taxes, and that is what pulled people away from Bush 41 to perot? Looking at the analysis on why Bill Clinton got a plurality when it was all said and done, was this the primary reason?

Cokie is 'right on the mark'!

Democrats will do well in '06--but this Lieberman fiasco will HIGHLIGHT AND UNDERSCORE the fact that the democrats have gone off the deep end--particularly in the ONE AREA that has hurt them most--their incredible weakness on NATIONAL SECURITY AND DEFENSE ISSUES!

National defense is the bane of the democrats--and this will hurt them big-time in '08 (as if they need even more focus on their weakness and willingness to appease).

"I think, a disaster for the Democratic Party, and it's going to be very interesting to see what happens as a result of it."

If Lamont wins, Lieberman may run as an independent and spit the Democratic vote, allowing the Republican to win the Senate seat.

Maybe she is referring to the fact that Lieberman intends to run as an independent if he loses in the primary - splitting the dim vote.

Good for the Republicans; Lieberman will run as an independent and split the RAT vote. That's really the only way a Pubbie has a chance.

"Something amazing happened on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday: Cokie Roberts practically floored host George Stephanopoulos with the political truth that most impartial individuals already know..."

Just floored me too!

Cokie has called spades spades before among the Media and talking head elites.... While the press was trying to spin 94 into an anti-incumbent movement, she properly called an anti-democratic party route. Same thing on other events as well..

While I won't classify Cokie a conservative, she is at least honest when it comes to stating what she sees... she doesn't tout the line when what she personally sees doesn't match the story as its being presented. At least not on the sunday panels.

They keep talking about how the "Democrat Party has moved to the left", but they fail to say that when they made that move, they became Socialists. Cokie, George nor any of them can bear to say "Socialist", because that's saying something terrible about what the Democrat Party has become. This presents a huge problem for the RATS!

At the convention where Mr. Bush 1st won the nomination, Cokie was running around interviewing conservative republicans. scowling at each. Quite a contrast to the dem convention where she went around gushing and smiling while talking to fools like Kennedy and both clintons.
Cokie is a liberal democRAT and is so biased she isn't worth the air she breaths.
