Couldn't agree more, and add to the list even the tree-hugging technologies like solar, wind, and bio-diesel-- whatever it takes. We've got to stop being dependent on murderous madmen for essential resoures.

We should use everything we can think of-- it's a strange thing, but a good six years ago while I was at an office party, I had an interesting conversation with one of my wife's maintinance men.

Fellow's former military, ex-trucker and shrimper-- not a lot of higher education, but good at figuring things out on his own...

We were talking about high gas prices ( Yeah, like $1.35 a gallon? ) and out of the blue, he waves his hand at the river outside the dining hall where we were, and says,

"Look there- tide goes up, goes down-- that's power-- why can't we harness that?"

Good question.
