I guess this is the left's revenge for Little Green Footballs exposing that Reuters photoshop thing... My guess, while close to yours, is that this is the left's LAME attempt to get the focus OFF of the Reuters photoshop scandal.

Maybe, but it was pointed out to me at post #24 that this thing was hatched before the Reuter's scandal (I neglected to actually read the article...), but it still could have been released when that scandal came to light for that purpose.
