Lon Horiucchi was protected from prosecution by a federal law that protects federal agents from prosecution when "acting in performance of their duties"..

Seems to me the same law would apply to Border Patrol agents, but maybe not...
Maybe it all depends on who your freinds are..

I don't think that there is any maybes about it. These agents should enjoy the same protection that Lon got. This is just so wrong.

I'm a federal LEO. That law does not grant you automatic immunity - it only covers you if it's a righteous shoot. If it's not a good shoot, for whatever reason, you are liable for both civil and criminal prosecution.
