I'm sure Chattanooga Chafee can buy himself another vote to make up for mine.

I am voting for the Republican candidate. I'm supporting Ed Bryant in the primary AND the general, even if I have to write his name in.So each Febuary do print up and wear a new t-shirt that says "Tennessee Titans, 200x World Champions"? What a crybaby.
No wonder the candidates of the conservo-utopians so often lose, their supporters are always quitting.

Chattanooga is known as the "biggest small town on earth." Personal loyalty far out weighed any political convictions in this race. Plus, Corker had a lot of Democrats supporting him.
Drive down to Chattanooga, and you'll see that they practically worship the man there.

Mass-hysteria, mass-ignorance, and mass-'Rat crossover voting.

There's no point in name-calling. Bob Corker is not a real Republican.

That is his home town, but he swept all of East Tennesee which is rich in GOP voters, and is carrying middle Tenn with a plurality, and not that far behind in West Tenn. He should get in the mid to high forties percent range at the end I would guess. The polls proved accurate.

Welcome to Tennessee. The New Jersey of the South, except that a Conservative Republican majority routinely gets f*cked more than Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton at the nightclubs.

Now I'm getting worried. Are Tennesseans that dumb, moving to the left, or could you possibly be wrong in your assessment of this Corker?
Tennesseans aren't dumb. Bryant ran a bad campaign while the Corker one was flushed with money. The Corker media buys have literally overwhelmed the state for the past few months.
Hilleary is really the one who hurt Bryant. He split the conservative base. Bryant spent much of the campaign fighting it out with him rather than exposing Corker. Bryant simply didn't have a chance.
How bad is Bob Corker?
Let's just I am wishing that Frist would have run again.

That's it in a nutshell!!!!!!
I am so mad at Ed Bryant and the Tenn. Republican party.

There's no point in name-calling. Bob Corker is not a real Republican. You just did, in the same line.
If he emerges as the Republican candidate, he's a hell of a lot better than that corrupt Democrat Ford. Would be utter stupidity to pout out the general election out just because someone's favorite didn't win. Time to gather around and support whoever wins.

I was in Chattanooga in '96. Spent about 4 days, seeing the sites. A nice city.
Would love to have a house up on Lookout Mtn or Missionary Ridge.

No! Memphis holds that title.
We call it the Six Degrees of Chattanooga. It literally is a world-wide phenomenon. I ran across it in London, and I just moved to DC, where I've encountered it. Despite having more than 300,000 people, everyone literally knows each other in Hamilton County.
To: whatisthetruth
It's a fair question. We Tennesseans were smart enough to deny Albert Gore Junior a favorite son vote in '04 (and save the Republic).
